Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck might seem to be getting back together, but they’re simply reaching a better place, with no hard or soft feelings.
Recently, the duo shared a friendly interaction at the New York City premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman, sparking speculation that Lopez and Affleck may be reuniting.
A source told PEOPLE following their exchange, “Jennifer’s doing well. She’s focused on things that make her happy, family and work.”
“She’s always enjoyed working with Ben; that hasn’t changed,” the insider added, clarifying, “There’s no romantic reunion with Ben.”
The source further explained, “They’re in a really good place. They continue to support each other and are both proud of what they accomplished together.”
Lopez and Affleck’s love story is pure Hollywood legend. The duo, dubbed Bennifer, first sparked romance in 2002 after meeting on Gigli, got engaged, but split in 2004.
Nearly two decades later, they rekindled their flame in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022. Despite reported tensions and separate appearances in 2024, their relationship remains one of pop culture’s most talked-about on-again, off-again romances.
Lopez’s upcoming musical Kiss of the Spider Woman features Affleck as an executive producer, with his and Matt Damon’s production company, Artist Equity, co-producing the film.
At the movie’s New York City premiere, Affleck was seen telling Lopez she was “incredible,” while also praising director Bill Condon for doing an “amazing job” on the project.
