Mariah Carey has once again been drawn into her infamous feud with rapper Eminem and this time she couldn’t dodge the question.
The pop diva appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last night, where she took part in the cheeky game Plead the Fifth.
The 56-year-old pop star easily swerved a money question about her Christmas classic and laughed off Andy’s dig about ex-husband Nick Cannon allegedly insuring his manhood.
But the third question hit a little harder.
The 57-year-old TV show host asked if it was true, as a producer recently claimed, that Eminem first fell out with her after approaching her to play his mum in 8 Mile.
“From what I heard, there is truth to that,” Carey admitted coyly.
“But I don’t think that he actually—well, who knows who approached who.”
When pressed if the moment sparked their feud, she shrugged: “Um, no. I mean, maybe. It depends what he’s thinking. I really don’t care. Like, whatever he’s said, then I’m that, fine. Not really. But that’s a rap lyric.”
Their war of words has spanned over two decades, with The Real Slim Shady crooner rapping about a supposed romance and the songstress denying it.
Both have fired shots through songs like her 2009 hit Obsessed and his scathing track The Warning.
