Meghan Markle has once again sparked debate after sharing a new Instagram post that landed right in the middle of President Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, uploaded a serene photo to her lifestyle brand As Ever’s Instagram account.
Dressed in a long button-up blue summer dress and shielding her face with a wide-brimmed hat, Meghan was pictured tending to a garden pot outside her Montecito home.
She captioned the post: “Seasons shift, but the garden stays magic.”
But the timing didn’t go unnoticed. The post coincided exactly with the Royal Family’s high-profile engagements welcoming Trump and First Lady Melania to Windsor Castle.
The overlap prompted speculation that Meghan’s move was a subtle attempt to draw attention away from the UK spectacle.
One critic on X fumed: “She just couldn’t help herself. She had to post something, anything today.”
Another added: “Can we put the focus on the royals please.” A third chimed in: “Nothing will overshadow William and Catherine tonight!”
