Chris Martin, notable for being the lead vocalist of Coldplay, sparked another controversy with latest move after kiss cam moment.
During his concert at Wembley Stadium, the 48-year-old shared a message for the late conservative with a special gesture.
On Friday, the Hymn for the Weekend hitmaker requested 80,000 attendees to raise their hands high in the sky and “send love” to any place “in the world.”
The artist went on to include “brother or sister… the families of people who’ve been going through terrible stuff.”
According to him, there are “places that might need it” as Chris also mentioned: “You can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family.”
Although the concertgoers cheered for the singer at the time, the online community contested to the mid-concert tribute.
One of the X users questioned: “How many people has he said this for?” While another fan called it their “dumbest” move as the band “went their whole career without controversy.”
A third admirer claimed that the Viva la Vida singer “supports whatever he sees.” A critic was not sure if concert “is the place for political statements.”
The 31-year-old was a right wing activist who maintained close ties with President Donald Trump during his life.
The media personality was tragically assassinated while he spoke at Utah University in front of thousands of people.
