Zendaya reveals unexpected role she wants to play next

Zendaya recently revealed the surprising role she wants to take up in the future, which was inspired by her visit to Scotland.

In conversation with the Sunday Mail, the star admitted, “Mom is very proud of our Scottish roots. I’ve said before I would take on a Scottish role if I felt that I had nailed it and it sounded authentic.”

She further added, “Taking on a Scottish accent would be special, with our history in the family.”

In July, the 28-year-old actress was spotted filming Christopher Nolan’s film The Odyssey in Scotland, alongside her fiancé, Tom Holland.

During breaks, the lovebirds explored Inverness city, where they shocked the locals by visiting the coffee shops and ice cream parlours.

The Euphoria lead admitted, "The locals were so friendly and actually allowed us to do normal things."

Notably, the couple has been busy with filming schedules, as Tom is also currently shooting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Zendaya was seen supporting him on set.

Though fans of the franchise speculate that the Disney alum might not have a role in the fourth instalment.

For the unversed, the Challengers' star will also reprise her role as Chani in Dune: Part Three, which began production in July 2025.

How did Zendaya and Tom Holland meet?

Zendaya and Tom Holland first met in 2017 while filming Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming. In July 2021, they were spotted showing PDA in Holland's car, and two months later, they went Instagram official.
