Kid Cudi has spoken at length about his cut-off from Kanye West, with the Better Place rapper candidly declaring that the latter has broken his heart.

The Happy Gilmore 2 star had known the Yeezy founder a while before being signed to his music label G.O.O.D. Music in 2008, but the two have left each other in their pasts.

In a conversation on CBS Mornings on Wednesday, the Pursuit of Happiness rapper revealed that he is sad about their friendship ending.

“The freedom that we experienced when we were creating, it just will never happen again, you know? And that is the heartbreaking side of things. But, hey, I had a lot of things in my life break my heart, and I’ve been able to survive and move past it,” he stated.

Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, then explained that they have attempted reconciliation multiple times, but failed.

“We’ve tried since then, you know? But we always have a falling out. He said some things that there’s just no coming back from. The comments that he’s had about Virgil Abloh are just some of the most evil, vile, disturbing fucking up things I’ve ever heard,” the 42-year-old disclosed.

Abloh was a fashion designer that West targeted on multiple occasions in his explosive social media rants.

Cudi notes that the now-deceased designer was an angel and that he cannot get over the thing sthe Runaway rapper has said, he also seemed to be echoing the sentiments the 48-year-old had in his 2016 song I Love Kanye, shortly after.

How many times did Kanye West marry?

West has married twice, his first marriage was to Kim Kardashian, which lasted from 2014 to 2022. Currently, the rapper is married to Bianca Censori, whom he wed in December 2022.
