BTS break silence on Michael Jackson rumour

South Korean band BTS are arguably the most followed music group right now even after they have been on a hiatus for three years now.

The members, who were serving in the Korean military for their mandatory service, recently discharged from the service near BTS’ 12th anniversary.

As the band is now anticipated to make a comeback, there has been a new rumour that clouded social media discourse.

It was being speculated that the group will appear on a Michael Jackson tribute album.

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, is often considered the greatest musician of all time and has inspired many current artists including the BTS members.

While the 7 members are big fans of the icon, they have denied the rumours circulating.

In a public statement shared on their social media accounts, the band officially denied the claims and said they are not involved “in any recording sessions at the location mentioned”.

The news was first broken by The Sun who claimed that the “superstar artists” were meant to make a comeback album, that was previously an unreleased project of the pop icon.

While these rumours have been squashed by BTS’ team, it is often talked how the band is similar to MJ in many ways but particularly for their cultural influence and all over global success.
