Isla Fisher, who rose to fame from her breakthrough performance in the movie The Wedding Crashers, candidly discussed her life priorities after divorce.
This confession comes just a month after the 49-year-old American actress and her ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen announced their divorce on their official Instagram accounts on July 13.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Fisher confessed to the host, saying, "I've had a tough couple of years, but I'm making it through."
“I'm really excited for the next chapter. I'm refocusing on my career," she hopefully went on to say.
The proud mother of two beautiful daughters and handsome son told the outlet, "I still am, obviously, because [they're] my true love. But I'm enjoying tackling work again."
Furthermore, the new single mom reflected on the positive aspect, mentioning that the heartbreak gave her the opportunity to rethink about her professional goals.
While wrapping up the conversation, she added, "I’m trying to remind myself of my new identity as somebody outside of a partnership and to stay as buoyant as possible. Any time there’s change, it’s hard to adapt. But hopefully I’m doing an okay job."
In another chat with The Sunday Times, published earlier this year, Fisher told the interviewer that the decision to separate was the most difficult thing she'd ever been through.
For the unversed, back in 2001, the estranged pair first met each other at a party held in Sydney, Australia. After ten years of romantic relationship the former duo exchanged vows in Paris, March, 2010.
Isla Fisher is a natural ginger as she was born with light auburn hair.
