Blake Lively, who is suing Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment, was humbled by the judge during an emergency hearing in the case.
Although the 47-year-old actress scored a victory by changing location of deposition, Blake was seemingly not offered much support by the judge.
The Gossip Girl alum faced embarrassment when the jurist Lewis Liman reminded the court that “celebrity is fleeting.”
According to Daily Mail, Lewis denied knowing the two parties before he took the lawsuit, which was deemed similar to Mariah Carey’s “I don’t know her.”
The Betty Buzz owner was also accused by the filmmaker’s attorney Kevin Fritz for receiving a “special treatment” due to her celebrity status.
However, Judge interrupted Kevin to ask him to avoid “throwing around accusations.” He reminded the attorney to use language “that the court is accustomed to.”
Lewis maintained that having a celebrity status or not is “irrelevant to the court” as it can be “fleeting.”
This came after the scheduled deposition was pushed back by two weeks, which is now expected to be held on July 31.
The amendment to the original complaint was introduced after a social media guru was dismissed from the case. The move gave time to both the parties to consider the changes.
Previously, Justin suffered a major blow after $400 million suit was dismissed.
The defamation case against the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds was filed by the Five Feet Apart director in response to the sexual harassment case.
Blake alleged in her lawsuit that she was harassed and faced a smear campaign by Justin while filming It Ends With Us.
