Oprah Winfrey opens up about not joining Gayle King on space trip

Oprah Winfrey revealed a surprising reason for not joining her best friend Gayle King in her recent space trip.

In a latest interview, the renowned US TV host confessed that she would “never do that”.

On Tuesday, July 15, in a conversation during the Let's Talk Off Camera podcast on SiriusXM, the 71-year-old television producer discussed why she dropped the idea of joining Blue Origin.

“I would never do it, but I became very interested in the whole process,” she explained.

Although the American actress didn't join the adventure, she was indeed proud of her best friend for making such a brave decision, despite being confused at the beginning.

Furthermore, the former Oprah Winfrey Show host jokingly warned her friend King, 70, not to let A-list celebs overshadow her.

In addition to King, the all-women space crew includes film producer Kerianne Flynn, space tourist Aisha Bowe, author and now wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos Lauren Sanchez, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and songwriter Katy Perry.
