Denise Richards and former husband Aaron Phypers’ ultimately decided to separate their ways, following their six years of marriage.

Reportedly, the American actress and her ex-partner ended their relationship due to their ongoing financial struggles.

A trusted source close to the couple told US Weekly, “They love each other, but they haven’t been happy. He filed for divorce, but she can’t continue like this either.”

However, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum wasn't the one who initiated the separation; it was done by her ex spouse.

The outlet noted, “She’s loved him for all he’s done and supported his dreams, but it’s also been a big financial burden on her that she can’t continue to carry. It took a toll on both of them.”

They also mentioned, “Aaron gave up a lot to help Denise day-to-day. He has taken care of the kids, the pets, his parents, Denise and all her work for OnlyFans, and has fixed up the houses they’ve lived in.”

Notably, the 52-year-old actor parted ways with Richards on Friday, July 4, as per legal documents received by the outlet.

For the unversed, the television personality is a proud mother of three daughters Sami, Lola and Eloise.
