American actor Eric Stonestreet is best known for his portrayal of Cameron Tucker in the ABC sitcom Modern Family, for which fans still ask him to recite the iconic dialogue.
The ABC hit sitcom was an 11-season series that premiered in September 2009 and wrapped up in April 2020.
The show received 22 Primetime Emmy Awards during its impressive run.
At the Dexter: Resurrection world premiere in New York City, Stonestreet tells PEOPLE about the most famous lines that fans still ask him to recite, even five years after the series' end.
Despite many splendid moments from the show, Stonestreet mentioned that “a lot of people” ask him to call his character's daughter, Lily, or the French Bulldog, Stella.
“They ask me to yell ‘Stella,’" the star mimicked, “‘Can you yell ‘Stella’ or ‘Lily?’”
Stonestreet recalled another popular scene from the first season that fans loved.
The scene where Tucker nearly breaks his car window with a metal trash can after he accidentally locks Lily inside.
“Oh, the window scene where I'm breaking the window. Locked the baby in the car. Those are popular ones for people to ask me about," he added.
The popular ABC sitcom featured Tucker’s on-screen husband, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played Lily, and his fictional in-laws, Ed O'Neill, Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, and Rico Rodriguez.
