Squid Games season 3 popularity graph is going upward as the South Korean thriller has broken streaming records on Netflix in the first three days of release.

The final season garnered over 60 million views since its streaming, ranking as No 1 in 93 countries and becoming record-setting debut, according to Netflix official press release.

K-drama finale also accomplished 368.4 million hours viewership since its release on June 27.

In contrast to the edge-of-the-seat finale, season 2 had only received 68 million views within the first four days of release on Boxing Day.

Korean survival drama also marks the first show in history to make Netflix’s list of most popular shows after a single week.

Dystopian thriller’s first season was released in 2021 and became the most-watched part in a three-part series with 265 million views alongside with the highest score: 95% Certified Fresh from the critic and 84% from audience.

Season 2 received 192 million views and the critics’ score was 83%.

Comparatively, the last part has the lowest scores in the series and the only season with negative response from the audience as the newly-released only receive 50% audience score.

The story of the TV show revolves around cash-strapped individuals who participated in life-threatening games, fighting for hefty money coupled with their own survival.

Is there going to be season 4 of Squid Games?

No, Squid Game will not be returning for another season, ending its thriller legacy with season 3.
