59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is going to be held from July 4-12 in the Czech spa town. The officials have released the lineup of Hollywood stars to receive the KVIFF President's Award.

Among big names are Dakota Johnson, Stellan Skarsgård, Vicky Krieps, and Peter Sarsgaard who are all set to be honoured for their impact on global cinema.

At the opening ceremony, the President Award will be bestowed upon Vicky Krieps and Peter Sarsgaard. Krieps, who showcased phenomenal acting skills in Corsage will also introduce her new film Love Me Tender.

Dakota Johnson will arrive on July 6 to accept her award and present two new projects including Splitsville and Materialists. Being the daughter of Melanie Griffth and Don Johnson, organizers praised her for continuing her family’s rich cinematic legacy.

The Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard known for outstanding roles in Good Will Hunting and The Simple-Minded Murderer will also receive the prestigious award and present his latest film Sentimental Value.

Apart from honorees, this year’s lineup for Karlovy features premiers and appearances from global talents including Camille Cottin (Out of Love), Max Walker-Silverman (Rebuilding), and Jay Duplass, who’s set to debut his latest comedy The Baltimorons. 

What is KVIFF President's Award?

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is one of the most distinguished film festival in Europe. The president's award of the festival is given to actors, director, and producers who have made significant contribution to the development of cinema and film across the globe.
