Splitsville had its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2025. It is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in the United States on August 22, 2025, before worldwide release on September 5, 2025.
The film revolves around two couples whose relationships spiral after one of them experiments with non-monogamy.
Arjona plays Ashley, who casually drops a bomb on her husband Carey (Kyle Marvin). After cheating on her husband she demands divorce. In shock, Carey turns to friends Julie (Dakota Johnson) and Paul (Michael Angelo Covino) for comfort, only to discover their marriage is open.
The film is directed and co-written by Covino and Marvin. Other cast includes Nicholas Braun, David Castañeda, Michael Angelo Covino, and O-T Fagbenle.
Where was Splitsville filmed?
Splitsville was filmed in Montreal doubling for New York from September to October 2024. Neon has partnered with Topic Studios to produce the film.
