Dakota Johnson defends ‘Splitsville’ amid criticism at Cannes debut

Dakota Johnson, star of Fifty Shades of Grey, is shocked by the criticism her most recent movie, Splitsville, has gotten from critics.

A couple attempting to manage an open marriage is the subject of the comedy, which has been written off as "grating" and full of "unconvincing comedic sequences."

At the Cannes Film Festival, Dakota expressed her confusion, saying, "It's an amazing film. How it's not so popular is beyond me."

The 35-year-old actress is having a great time at her Cannes debut with Coldplay singer Chris Martin as her boyfriend. She joked, "I suppose Cannes doesn't want me because I've been to Venice too much."

Moreover, the star wore a modified A-line, glitzy pastel pink attire and kept the look minimal, pairing it with a large diamond ring and long earrings.

Notably, she attracted all the attention while striking poses for the paparazzi, showcasing her signature hairstyle and opting for light glam paired with a bold dark lip.
