Matthew Perry's doctor, Salvador Plasencia, has agreed to plead guilty in connection to the actor's tragic death for illegally supplying Ketamine.

The California doctor will enter a guilty plea to four counts of distribution of Ketamine, federal prosecutors said in a statement.

According to federal prosecutors' official statement, the plea will carry the maximum penalty of 40 years in prison.

The doctor is expected to make his plea in the coming weeks, taking Perry’s death enigma one step closer to truth.

As per plea agreement documents, Dr Plasencia has confessed that he administered Ketamine drug to the actor on multiple occasions without any medical justification.

Moreover, he also taught Perry's assistant, who is also a defendant, how to inject the drug, according to the plea deal.

In addition, between 30 September 2023, and 12 October 2023, Dr Plasencia sold twenty 5ml (100mg/ml) vials of ketamine and syringes to Perry and his assistant, explained in plea agreement.

The plea further acknowledges that this happened in the weeks leading up to Perry’s tragic death.

The 54-year-old known for his unforgettable role as Chandler Bing on Friends, was found dead in the hot tub at his home in Pacific Palisades, leading to Ketamine overdose listed as a cause of death.

Besides the doctor, four other people belonging to an underground network of dealers and medical professionals who supplied Perry with the drug were also charged.

Perry struggled with addiction for years, dating back to his time on Friends, when he became one of the biggest stars of his generation.
