Prince Harry has officially revealed when he’ll next set foot on British soil, and it’s for a cause close to his heart.
After his recent legal blow over police protection in the UK, the Duke of Sussex confirmed he will return for the Invictus Games in Birmingham, set for July 10–17, 2027.
The Games, which Harry founded in 2014, will be hosted in the Midlands for the first time.
The confirmation comes just weeks after the Duke lost his high-profile legal battle over publicly funded security, a sticking point he said continues to strain ties with his family.
In a rare and emotional interview with the BBC, Harry said he was “devastated” by the ruling and admitted he “can’t see a world” where he’d bring Meghan or their children to the UK “at this point.”
Still, he extended an olive branch: “I’ve forgiven them. Life is precious. There’s no point continuing to fight.”
The Invictus Games, which support wounded service personnel and veterans, were inspired by Harry’s visit to the US Warrior Games in 2013.
Since then, they’ve been hosted in London, Sydney, Orlando, Düsseldorf, and most recently, Whistler marking their first winter edition.
