Kate Middleton narrowly avoids fall after ignoring museum advice

Kate Middleton turned heads, and raised eyebrows, during her surprise visit to the newly opened V&A East Storehouse in London on June 10, after ignoring a key piece of safety advice.

The museum, which houses more than 600,000 artifacts and encourages public interaction, warns guests to wear flat shoes due to its metal grid flooring.

But the Princess of Wales, 42, stunned in an elegant navy Alexander McQueen suit and stilettos, despite the venue’s online notice advising against heels.

Holding onto the glass railing, Kate carefully navigated the flooring and avoided a potential mishap.

Kate’s appearance marked her first public engagement since May 22 and emphasized her ongoing support for creative institutions. As Patron of the V&A, she was given a tour of the museum’s behind-the-scenes spaces and even praised the layout, calling it “so eclectic.”

Museum COO Tim Reeve noted, “She really understood today that she was sharing it with the public. Everyone has that privileged access.”
