Lil Durk wants to leave no stone unturned in his continuous struggle to get out of prison.

Durk's trial was initially scheduled for January 7, 2025, but due to legal complications, it was rescheduled for October 14 later this year.

On May 8, Magistrate Judge Patricia Donahue denied his bond request due to public safety concerns.

According to All Hip Hop, the Viral Moment singer now has another opportunity to secure his release from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles.

Durk’s lawyer, Christy O’Connor, challenged the magistrate’s ruling on May 14 and asked for a hearing before a district judge.

The request has been granted, resulting in a hearing before Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, scheduled for June 2nd.

The rapper has offered a third bond package to eliminate potential risk if he is bailed, including $900,000 in real estate equity, $1 million in cash from Alamo Records, and $150,000 from a business associate.

Durk was arrested back in October with his Only the Family (OTF) affiliates for allegedly ordering a hit on his rival Quando Rondo in 2022, which resulted in the death of Saviay’a "Lul Pabb" Robinson.

It is believed that the shooting was in retaliation for the death of 26-year-old King Von in November 2020.

The 32-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and committing murder-for-hire involving a death.

What is Only the Family (OTF)?

Hip hop group Only the Family, aka OTF, was formed in Chicago in 2010 by Lil Durk along with King Von.
