On Monday, Sean “Diddy” Combs arrived in a New York courtroom wearing a grey sweater, pants and a white collared shirt.
As the disgraced music mogul entered the premises, his mother and 18-year-old twin daughters greeted him with a heart symbol.
The 55-year-old responded with a heart gesture of his own, which was instantly drawn by the sketch artist.
The sketch depicts Diddy giving a wry smile and awkwardly making up the gesture, which seems to be upside down.
As the drawing made its way to the internet, online users began to decode the meaning behind Diddy’s body language.
Some interpreted Diddy’s unusual hand gesture as a nod to one of his nicknames, “love.”
However, other social media users took the opportunity to make light of the situation, with one commenting, “They be drawing fast up in there,” while another said, “Sketchiest court sketch I’ve ever seen.”
It is also reported that, as the prosecutors gave their opening statement, the founder of Bad Boy Records sat quietly reading from the Holy Bible.
