Kanye West, who usually posts controversial tweets, used his social media presence to pay a heartfelt tribute to his mother.

The 47-year-old rapper was reminded of Donda this Mother’s day as he penned down a special message on his X (formerly Twitter account).

He wrote: “HEY MAMA. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND THANK YOU FOR WATCHING OVER ME MY WIFE KIDS SOLDIERS AND COMMUNITY.”

Donda West was a notable professor at Chicago State University during her life. She penned down a book about bringing up the rapper, titled, Raising Kanye: Life Lessons from the Mother of a Hip-Hop.

The English scholar tragically passed away after suffering from post-surgery complications in 2007.

However, it is to be noted that the music mogul posted a similar message when he was with Kim Kardashian.

In 2016, Yeezy owner expressed his gratitude to his deceased mother by saying: “Thank you for watching over our family. Nori and Kim say happy Mother’s Day… And Saint smiled.”

Ye, who is currently married to Bianca Censori, tied knot with Kim Kardashian in 2014 but the relationship ended in divorce after the controversial rapper reportedly denied to seek help for his bipolar disorder in 2021.

Recently, their feud sparked again after the Heartless singer decided to collaborate with their elder daughter North West on Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, which also featured imprisoned Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The Kardashians star heavily objected Kanye West's move and started considering taking back the musician's rights over their children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7 and Psalm, 6.
