The Mother’s Daughter singer, Miley Cyrus, spoke out about family dynamics and the details of her bond with her family in a candid post on Saturday.
The Hannah Montana alum began by clearing the air about her mother Tish Cyrus unfollowing her after she stepped out with father Billy Ray Cyrus to celebrate her brother’s birthday.
She wrote in an Instagram story, "I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She's my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn't know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me-simple, coincidental, and uninteresting."
Miley, who had a falling-out with her dad after her parents’ parted ways in 2022-after nearly three decades of marriage, acknowledged the strain their dynamic has experienced.
She candidly wrote, “My dad and I have had our challenges over the years,” before informing her followers that the father-daughter duo has since healed their relationship and “bridges have been built."
The Heart Of Glass crooner clarified, “Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else.”
Notably, momager Tish, 57, had also responded to comments prior to Miley’s address, informing concerned fans that she had no idea how the unfollowing happened.
Yes, the mother of five manages the three-time Grammy winner along with Noah Cyrus, after doing so since the beginning of their careers.
