Nick Carter to release solo album amid sexual assault lawsuit

Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter is set to release his first solo album since 2015, being his 4th solo album overall.

Being titled Love Life Tragedy, it will be highly influenced by rock and pop sounds while showing his growth as an artist.

In a unique twist, he will also be releasing a six episode music video that will be in the style of a comic book.

About the new album, Carter said, "This album is not only about love, life, and tragedy, but also the beauty that can come from it all.”

The singer added, "This is the most vulnerable material I've ever released, and it is cathartic to share my story in this way. The 'Love Life Tragedy' album is a thank you to everyone who has loved and supported me for who I am – the artist, the husband, the father, the human being. I am very proud of this album and am excited to share it."

This announcement comes amid the 4th sexual assault lawsuit being filed against Carter. The suit is being filed by Laura Penly, who claims he assaulted her on two different occasions, also allegedly giving her several Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
