Kim Kardashian’ infamous statement that “nobody wants to work these days,” might also apply her coworkers, it appears.
Emma Grade, the co-founder of SKIMS and a close friend of Kardashian, recently spoke about her success on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast.
In addition to co-founding the clothing line, she is also the CEO and co-founder of Khloe Kardashian’s Good American brand and Kris Jenner’s Safely cleaning and self-care brand.
Further, it appears that she has taken on the mindset of Jenner and the Kardashians when it comes to her work, suggesting that anyone who aspires to success must follow suit.
Grede’s first response when asked what her red flags are during an interview was that she would walk out on anyone who enquired about “work-life balance.”
The fashion designer said, “Work-life balance is your problem,” adding, “that’s yours to figure out.’
She continued by explaining that no one at her company is confined to their desk; instead, people go to appointments, haircut, and kid-related activities as needed, and nobody ever asks why someone might not be at their desk.
Kardashian remains the company's single biggest shareholder, and she and Grede still own a majority stake.
