Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ long-time ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura opened up Pandora’s box by filing a lawsuit against the prominent figure, accusing him of serious offenses such as physical abuse and rape throughout their 11-year relationship.

In a surveillance video from 2016, the disgraced rapper could be seen chasing the Love a Loser singer down a hallway, dragging and brutally assaulting her.

However, his defense team has called the clip “deceptive” and has alleged that the abuse was two-way.

The Act Bad rapper’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that the 38-year-old was “mutually violent” before U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian during a hearing Friday, according to Reuters.

"I think we’re probably going to refer to that as domestic violence," he noted, during the proceedings which were also attended by Diddy.

The Manhattan judge held off on ruling on the issue, pushing the date ahead to Monday, May 12.

Meanwhile, prosecutors from the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office argue that the record executive perpetuated a decades-long pattern in which he used his business ventures to coerce women.

Diddy, 55, would promise them successful careers or romantic relationships only to lead them down a path that ultimately involved participating in the infamous “Freaks Offs,” as per the prosecution.

Did Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs apologise for his behaviour in the leaked video?

Yes, the I’ll Be Missing You singer had issued a public apology after the clip went viral, noting, “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted.”
