Sean “Diddy” Combs’ long-awaited trial is about to commence and the allegations against the disgraced music mogul do not seem to stop.
This time, however, the accusation is of a different kind than what is usually made against Diddy.
R&B group B5 recently claimed that the 55-year-old ruined their potential partnership with the Disney Channel.
The band recently spoke to HipHopWired, where they discussed being introduced to the Rhythm and Blues industry by the Bad Boy Records founder.
During the interview, the artists revealed that the studio “had a show idea locked in for us but Bad Boy kinda shut it.”
B5 said that Disney wanted them to sign a deal with Hollywood Records but Diddy prevented it because he wanted a “certain amount of dollars.”
The group also claimed that the original series was later offered to the Jonas Brothers and it “blew up,” catapulting them to stardom.
The original series in question is titled Jonas, which premiered on the Disney Channel in May 2009 and ran for two seasons.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently awaiting his trial, which is due to begin on Monday, May 5. The rapper is accused of sexual misconduct and is being detained at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
