Young Thug has started to warm up to the outside world after his release from prison last year.

The rapper has lately been busy on social media to promote his upcoming album, UY SCUTI, and has also been reacting to current events.

Thug also reunited with fellow rapper Future to drop their single Money on Money on April 25. It is safe to say that Thugger is all the way back and is poised to make up for time lost behind bars.

However, the Stoner hitmaker's latest social media post likely put some of his fans into a stone-cold frenzy.

On Sunday, the 33-year-old took to X, formerly Twitter, to simply post “Ye said almost, guess we didn't get the job done.”

The cryptic remark had the hip-hop community buzzing about its possible interpretation.

Some believe that the post was a response to Kanye West’s recent comment on a Twitch livestream with Digital Nas.

In the broadcast, the artist now known as Ye revealed feeling let down by rappers he once inspired.

Thug collaborated with Ye in 2014 on numerous tracks and cited the legendary rapper’s influence on his work.

The following year, he also shared discussing a joint album with Ye, although it never materialised.

Why was Young Thug in prison?

Young Thug and his YSL associates were arrested in May 2022 for illegal firearm trafficking and possession.

The Atlanta artist was released in October 2024 on a 15-year probation after making a plea deal.
