Joe Keery sat down for an interview on the Zach Sang Show where he opened up about his relationship with the series that brought him to fame, Stranger Things.
Having played the beloved role of Steve Harrington, the show will finally be coming to an end with its fifth season.
"I mean what a gift it's been to do it," the actor said. "There's a part of me, obviously, that is like 'No, I'm more than just that.' But I don't know, I'm kind of okay with that."
"If that's all, I mean — what an insane ride that has been," he continued. "But I guess now it puts me in this place of privilege to be able to just like chase the things I'm really interested in doing."
Along with pursuing music under the moniker Djo, he explained that he is looking for projects that he finds “interesting.”
"A thing like that, I mean that's like a once in a lifetime thing, you know? What a fun and crazy ride," Keery remarked.
The singer also discussed the struggle of identity that comes with acting, "I think there is something to it, and also the impostor syndrome of it all. Being so fortunate to do something and wanting to prove that you're worthy of this opportunity that you've been given, and all of these things coming together.”
