Meghan Markle’s latest podcast may be climbing the charts but the reviews are painting a very different picture.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, launched her new audio series Confessions of a Female Founder earlier this month, featuring candid interviews with powerhouse women like Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd and Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani.

Despite ranking in Spotify’s Top 10, royal experts claim the podcast is being met with indifference in the US and morbid fascination in the UK.

“It’s very US-focused,” The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson said on The Royal Exclusive show. “But I think the American media have mostly ignored it. It’s not being picked up the way you’d expect — especially if this is meant to be her big return to the spotlight.”

Meanwhile, across the pond Meghan is still making headlines but not necessarily for the right reasons.

“Does that suggest then,” asked GB News royal correspondent Cameron Walker, “that the British audience loves to hate Meghan, and perhaps by extension Harry, while the US just doesn’t care anymore?”

“What is the USP here?” Walker asked. “Is it just because she’s Meghan, Duchess of Sussex? Or does it actually have a purpose?”

“Although the reviews are bad, people are still watching her Netflix show, still listening to the podcast,” Walker added. “The question is — do they love it or love to hate it?”

What is Meghan Markle's podcast about?

Meghan Markle's new podcast focuses on thought-provoking conversations, social issues, and personal storytelling—similar to her previous podcast Archetypes, which explored gender stereotypes and how they shape women's lives.

The new show is likely to align with Lemonada Media’s focus on socially conscious and narrative-driven content. Given Meghan’s previous interests, it includes discussions about women’s empowerment, mental health, and media representation.
