Sheryl Crow has revealed that she was initially offered to be a coach in The Voice's first season but she declined due to her family commitments.
On April 16, in Nashville, the Soak Up the Sun singer shared at the A Country Thing event, "I had a newborn and did not want to move back to L.A."
"Actually, that's not true. He [son Levi] was about 2 years old and I didn't want to move back to L.A. and so I didn't do it. And I have not really entertained it since then because we have a busy life here and normalcy is really lovely," the music star added.
On April 14, the show team disclosed the news that Crow, 63, and LeAnn Rimes are set to join the show as mentors.
In an interview with People, the singer shared, mentoring on The Voice was an enjoyable experience, "I loved mentoring. It was a blast, and I absolutely adore [The Voice coach] Kelsea [Ballerini]."
Crow's sons, 14-year-old Levi and 18-year-old Wyatt, walked along with her on the red carpet at the Barclays Center in November 2023.
