A$AP Rocky, who shares two sons with Rihanna, opened up about his 2023 Met Gala mishap that left a fan injured.
The rapper sat down to review his iconic 21 fashion looks in Vogue's "Life in Looks" segment when he was reminded about his mistake that went viral.
The Sundress singer smiled at the bizarre memory as he explained: “I was gonna be late for Met Gala, I was trying to get in my room.”
He felt sorry for “this poor young little lady.” The Fashion Killa hitmaker admitted, “I didn’t even know that I messed up her glasses.”
Apologising for the blunder, A$AP continued: “To whoever that lady was. Again. I apologize. I’m so sorry. I ain’t mean to do that, sweetheart. My fault.”
On May 1, 2023, the 36-year-old arrived at his hotel ahead of the event but found himself clouded with fans. He made his way through the crowd and jumped over the barrier, accidently using one of his admirers’ shoulder.
The action injured the lady and knocked her glasses askew. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her frustration by posting a selfie, captioning: “A$AP Rocky just literally jumped over me.”
However, the musician instantly took notice of the complaint and replied with “LOL MY FAULT $WEETHEART.” He then followed her account to show his sincere regret.
On 19 February, 2025, A$AP Rocky was found not guilty after he was charged with two felony counts. The rapper was accused of opening fire at a former friend Relli.
