Lana Del Rey delighted fans with the release of Henry, Come On, a song featured on her upcoming album, before announcing a sudden change in plans.
The Diet Mountain Dew singer dropped the single, which was a cooperative effort with Luke Laird, on April 11 marking a change from her usual genre.
Lana had opened up about the details of her upcoming album in October of last year to People magazine.
The 39-year-old informed, “I think my songs have taken on an Americana feel, and I'm waiting to see what the musical atmosphere is like.”
Lana, who has also teamed up with Taylor Swift for Snow On The Beach, continued, “If I sense a pause in the creative process that feels almost physical, I have to wait – and I'm not sure why."
The MTV award winner stayed true to her word, as she updated eager fans who were looking forward to the album drop on May 21, that she had decided to prolong their wait.
In an Instagram reel posted on the same day as her song release, Lana playfully addressed her fans saying, "I'm really happy for this album to be moving along. I do have a lot more to say [about] that ... I mean, you do know it's not going to come on time right? Like... should I even tell you that the name changed again?"
The Young And Beautiful singer had initially disclosed the highly anticipated album with the name Lasso, before changing it to The Right Person Will Stay.
Lana Del Rey's biggest album was released in 2012 and is titled Born To Die. It topped albums charts of Australia and many European countries and held the number two spot on the US Billboard 200.
