Ellen Pompeo reveals Taylor Swift’s generosity

Ellen Pompeo was all praise for Taylor Swift as she recalled their collaborative project and Taylor’s benevolent spirit.

The 35-year-old revealed that she and Taylor were not familiar with each other when the Guilty As Sin singer invited Ellen to star alongside her in the music video for her 2014 hit Bad Blood.

“And Taylor is such a good girl and I didn’t know her and she invited me to be in the video and I thought, ‘Oh that would be fun, “the Grey’s Anatomy star revealed in an installment of the Jennifer Hudson show on April 2.

Ellen then went on to say that after the shoot she approached the 14-time Grammy winner with a request : that Taylor contribute towards a program that makes music for babies in the NICU.

“So I just got up the hooks and asked Taylor, ‘Could you write me a big old check for Children’s?’ and she knew me all but 20 minutes and that girl wrote me the biggest check without blinking an eye,” Ellen told of The Last Time singer’s philanthropy.

It is important to note that Taylor is known for her charity work, as the global popstar has previously donated to multiple food banks, schools and disaster relief programs.
