A Blake Lively fan has accused the actor of following her to her car and filming her in a bizarre and “disturbing” encounter outside a luxury hotel in Texas.
Houston local Kaitlyn Cooper claims the incident took place earlier this month when she and her mother stayed at Hotel 1928 in Waco — a property co-owned by Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines.
Not knowing at first, Lively was reportedly staying there at the same time, fresh off her appearance at SXSW to promote Another Simple Favor.
According to an interview Cooper gave to Daily Mail, she and her mom learned from hotel staff that a VIP was staying at the property, and later a server confirmed it was none other than the Gossip Girl alum.
After spotting Lively in the lobby, Cooper says she took a quick video on her phone to show friends. The clip, according to Daily Mail, shows Lively entering the lobby in jeans and a white shirt and shielding her face upon noticing the camera. She was reportedly accompanied by hotel staff and a security guard.
“She looked right at us,” Cooper, 27, recalled. “She definitely saw I was filming her.”
But the most unsettling part allegedly came the following morning.
As Cooper and her mother were loading their car to leave, Cooper claims Lively appeared again — this time holding up her own phone and allegedly recording the scene.
“She had her phone up and was pointing it toward me — toward my car,” she said. “She handed her phone to her security, and he did another lap around the car, specifically around the passenger side.”
Cooper said she was left “really disturbed” and confused, particularly because she claims the camera was aimed toward her license plate.
“It felt paranoid and bizarre,” she said. “We weren’t bothering her or approaching her at all.”
After posting about the incident on Instagram, Cooper says “strange” anonymous accounts began viewing her Stories — including what she believes were people from Lively’s team and a hotel employee.
So far, Blake Lively and her representatives have not publicly commented on the claims.
