Blake Lively’s initial suit against Justin Baldoni seems to have opened a Pandora’s Box as the latter countersues again, bringing the total number of his lawsuits to six.

The 41-year-old actor and his current publicist, Jennifer Abel, have now sued his former publicist, Stephanie Jones, for breach of contract after she sued him first.

The lawsuit, filed on March 21 in the New York federal court, alleges that Jones was responsible for leaking private text messages between Baldoni and Lively.

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, discussed the rationale behind the new move, presenting it as a violation of client confidentiality by Jones with malicious intent.

"It is undeniable that Stephanie Jones initiated this catastrophic sequence of events by violating the most basic of privacy rights, as well as any remaining trust her clients held,” Freedman told People.

The attorney then went on to say of her actions, "Ms. Jones maliciously turned over communications from the phone she wrongfully took from her own partner to her cohort, [Lively’s personal publicist] Leslie Sloane, immediately after Jones was terminated for cause by Wayfarer due to her own wrongful behavior."

It is important to note that Jones, along with Abel, both worked at the public relations firm Jonesworks, representing Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios during the production of It Ends With Us.

However, as soon as the filming ended, Baldoni and Abel both cut ties with Jones in August 2024, shifting to a new firm created by the former.

In the following months, Jones sued Baldoni, his company and former partner Abel, claiming defamation and breach of contract.
