Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has condemned the recent move of Blake Lively after the actress filed to dismiss the lawsuit.
Bryan called out the motion presented by Blake as she tries “to dismiss herself from the self-concocted disaster she initiated is one of the most abhorrent examples of abusing our legal system,” according to TMZ.
The 37-year-old actress followed her husband’s lead as he was the first to file in order to terminate Justin’s suit, labelling him a “predator.”
The attorney for the filmmaker upheld his stance as he highlighted the significance of the “stringent rules” that have been created to “protect the innocent and allow individuals to rightfully defend themselves.”
He pointed out the reported abuse of the law by the Gossip Girl actress, stating that “laws are not meant to be twisted and curated by privileged elites to fit their own personal agenda.”
This came after Blake progressed her plea to drop the director’s $400 million defamation lawsuit, claiming Justin sued Another Simple Favor actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds for the purpose of retaliation.
The 41-year-old director’s lawsuit came in response to Blake Lively’s case that claimed she faced sexual harassment on the set of the movie adaptation of Colleen Hover’s It Ends With Us.
