Fivio Foreign has been serving time since the start of this year.
TMZ reports that the rapper was arrested on January 18 after being accused of threatening a woman with a firearm.
Police records reveal that the woman asked Foreign to jumpstart her car on New Year's Eve in Edgewater, New Jersey.
"If I see you parked in front of this building again, there is going to be a f***ing problem," Foreign allegedly responded.
The witnesses also recognised the rapper and called 911 to provide their statements. The 34-year-old was also spotted in the surveillance video with the police later verifying the accuser’s account using the footage.
Foreign faces five charges including aggravated assault, weapon possession and terroristic threats.
Foreign’s attorney dismissed the allegations, claiming that his client is innocent. The attorney also stated, “No firearm was ever found on him, in his home, or in his car, and no firearm can be seen in any of the videos that are alleged to depict the incident. We look forward to addressing these charges in court, and we expect him to be completely exonerated.”
Ironically, Foreign was featured in a recent music video of his collaborative song with country singer Bobby Caldwell.
Released on March 14, the Get Out The Way video seems to work around Foreign’s absence by cleverly cutting to montages and Caldwell whenever Foreign was rapping in the background.
