Isaiah Stokes, who appeared on shows like Law & Order and Blue Bloods, has been convicted of murder.
Stokes was found guilty of second-degree murder and criminal possession in the 2021 case of Tyrone Jones’ murder, according to the statement issued by the Queens District Attorney’s office on March 10.
The district attorney Melinda Katz described the crime as a “calculated murder”.
Katz’ said “Justice has now been served for the premeditated murder perpetrated by this defendant and he will now spend 25 years to life in prison as a direct consequence of his criminal actions.”
The crime happened in February 2021 after Stokes had been stalking the victim for four months following an altercation at a club in Queens, at Jones’ birthday party.
Jones suffered multiple gunshots and was pronounced dead at the scene. The actor was arrested five months later and found guilty of second-degree murder.
Stokes was a Jazz and Hip-Hop artist as well along with his short-lived career of film and television.
