Netflix’s latest crime-drama Adolescence has taken viewers by storm — and now fans are discovering a surprising A-list connection behind the scenes: Brad Pitt.
The Fight Club star is an executive producer on the series via his acclaimed production company Plan B Entertainment, and fans are only just realizing it.
“Just noticed Brad Pitt is an executive producer on Adolescence. Is that THE Brad Pitt?” one user wrote on X. Another added: “Brad Pitt producing Adolescence is wild.”
Director Philip Barantini confirmed Pitt’s involvement in an interview with Radio Times, saying: "Brad was on the phone with us and he was so enthusiastic."
The four-part limited series, which dropped on March 13, follows 13-year-old Jamie Miller (played by breakout star Owen Cooper) after he’s accused of murdering a classmate.
Each episode is filmed in a single continuous take, intensifying the emotional and psychological weight of the story.
“I thought it was one scene or something,” Cooper told Variety. “Then Phil said it’s the entire show in one take. I didn’t think I could do it — but everyone helped me through.”
The cast includes Erin Doherty, Ashley Walters, and Stephen Graham, and critics are already calling it one of the most powerful shows of the year.
Cooper, who revealed this is his first on-screen acting job, has been flooded with praise.
“I don’t even watch it like it’s a normal show,” he said. “I just see myself and think — wow, this really happened.”
