Meghan Markle is killing ‘em with kindness as claims she’s a “bully” continue to swirl.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, seemingly spent hundreds of pounds on personalised gifts for her Netflix crew after wrapping her new cooking series, With Love, Meghan, according to a report by People magazine published March 8.
The move comes amid resurfaced allegations about Meghan’s treatment of staff, dating back to her time as a working royal. In 2018, then-aide Jason Knauf sent an internal email raising concerns about the former actress’s alleged behaviour, which later leaked.
The accusations returned earlier this year in an 8,000-word Vanity Fair piece, which claimed Meghan mistreated staff after stepping back from royal duties with Prince Harry.
But those who worked with the mom-of-two on With Love, Meghan tell a very different story. In their chat with People, crew members described her as a “great hostess” who went out of her way to make them feel appreciated.
Meghan reportedly gifted each person a sauté-style fry pan from Our Place, worth over £80, along with a handwritten monogrammed spoon reading, “Thank you, crew.”
“She made us feel seen,” one crew member told the outlet, adding that she often surprised them with food trucks and even cut bite-sized samples of dishes between takes.
Director Michael Steed praised her bond with the crew, saying, “Her relationship with the crew became really tight fairly quickly… I really think the core of Meghan’s being is her generosity.”
