American singer Justin Bieber has once again set the internet ablaze, this time after sharing a photo of himself smoking from a bong.

The Peaches singer took to Instagram to post the image, instantly dividing fans and fuelling debate over his latest move.

While some followers rushed to defend the pop icon, calling it a personal choice and pointing out the legalization of cannabis in many regions, others were less than impressed.

Critics voiced concerns over the message it sends to younger audiences, with many questioning whether Bieber—who has openly discussed his past struggles with substance use—should be more mindful of his influence.

"@justinbieber you're a new father, something you've wanted. Set a better example for your son," wrote one user.

"I hope Jack doesn’t have to be around all this smoke. A kid doesn’t deserve it", said another.

However, there were some fans who came to the singer's defence. One fan wrote: "Why does is surprise yall to see a celebrity smoke like 75% of the world does, there’s literally so many people that smoke and he’s obviously not doing it in front of his son. my parents smoked through my childhood and i never knew until i was older and they raised me just fine, yall are sensitive."

This isn’t the first time Bieber has made headlines for his lifestyle. The Sorry hitmaker has been candid about his journey, previously admitting to battling addiction and working toward self-improvement.

Is Justin Bieber still making music?

While Bieber has not officially announced a new album, he has been seen in the studio and recently released collaborations, hinting at upcoming projects.
