Jennifer Lopez welcomes summer with a Bang; 'Sexy bangs'

The summer is off to an exciting start, thanks to Jennifer Lopez.

The 53-year-old actress debuted a brand-new haircut on Instagram on Friday, complete with brow-length fringe, loose beach waves and her signature golden brown colour.

Lopez captioned the picture "Bang bang" and included the hashtags for her skincare company, JLo Beauty, as well as her hairstylist, Lorenzo Martin.

She added the hashtag #thisismenow to the end of the post as a subtle allusion to her upcoming album.

The On the Floor singer’s look was an instant hit among her 247 million Instagram followers. One follower wrote, "Ohhhhhhhh I love those sexy bangs!!!! #bangsareofficiallyback." Another one added, "Love this baby."

Lopez said in an interview with Spotify that her ninth studio album is anticipated to drop this summer, while no official release date has been confirmed.

"My upcoming album This Is Me … Now is coming out this summer," she shared in March. 

"Yes, you heard it here first. I’m super excited. Spotify is beginning to roll these pages out to more artists around the world, letting them bring their own personalized strategy to each and every album."

Earlier, the Marry Me star on the twentieth anniversary of the album, This Is Me… Then, posted an update about it.

Following her marriage to Ben Affleck, to whom the singer has dedicated her last album, the new effort "chronicles the emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey that she has taken over the past two decades," according to the press release.
