Sydney Sweeney ready to go 'crazy' with Cassie in Euphoria Season 3

Sydney Sweeney had the best time playing Cassie in Euphoria.

Speaking to Sunday Today, the 25-year-old actress revealed that she loved a lot of things about her “beautiful,” “broken character” in the HBO show.

“There’s so much [about] Cassie that I loved, especially in the beginning,” she shared. “I always tend to drift towards characters who might read one way on a page, and I like to find the layers to that character.

“Finding the layers and the emotional depth to who she is and why she is, how she acts and what she thinks,” the actress continued. “She’s a beautiful, broken character.”

The White Lotus star explained that she enjoyed portraying the craziness of her character, saying, “As an actor, that’s just so much fun to kind of stretch your legs and play characters that go insane and do all these crazy choices.”

“I'm really looking forward to seeing what Cassie does [in] season 3,” she added.

In an interview with Variety, Sweeney expressed anticipation on getting to “crazy places through her, because she’s such a crazy, dramatically heightened character and it’s fun to play her.”

“Whatever Sam [Levinson, the show’s writer] decides he wants to do with her, I fully entrust in Sam’s vision. I’m excited,” the actress added.
