BLACKPINK Jennie channels '90s beauty at Met Gala 2023: 'Just so happy'

BLACKPINK Jennie made her anticipated debut at the 2023 Met Gala last night.

Speaking to Emma Chamberlain for Vogue, the Solo singer gushed about her monochrome look at the gala, saying, "I'm wearing Chanel from the '90s runway. I'm so lucky to have the Chanel team recreate this look, the one that Karl did. I'm just so happy!"

The K-pop beauty looked chic in a strapless white mini dress adorned with a scalloped neckline, a pleated skirt and Chanel’s signature flower embellishment.

She accentuated the outfit with black gloves all the way to her elbow, a black choker and a white flower hair pin adorning her braided hairstyle.

She completed her look with Black tights and classic black heels.

This is not the first time a K-pop star has graced the steps of the fashion event.

In fact, Rosé was the first member of the South Korean girl group to make her debut at the Met Gala last year as the brand ambassador for Chanel.

Jennie made good use of the singer’s experience and didn’t step out before getting some advice from her.

"I don't know what to expect, but Rosé was here last year and she told me, 'Just have fun,' so that's the plan for today," she shared.
