Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently shared her two cents on diversity in Hollywood.
The Quantico star spoke to ABC News on the red carpet at the fifth Annual Gold House Gold Gala on May 9 in Los Angeles, celebrating her 25-year career spanning Bollywood and Hollywood.
During her interview, PeeCee emphasised the importance of diverse representation in media.
Interestingly, the Citadel actress revealed that this event is “special” for her because “from being a teenager in high school in Massachusetts and hardly seeing anyone in magazines or TV that looked like me unless it was a stereotype, to being at a celebration of us is unusual”.
Priyanka shared that she’s excited to see such a large, amazing community at the event, who are not only here to celebrate and champion each other but “being able to see them thrive” is something different.
“It’s so inspiring,” said The Bluff actress.
Meanwhile, Priyanka, who shares one daughter Malti with Nick Jonas, added, “That’s the world my daughter is going to grow up in.”
For the unversed, the Baywatch actress received the prestigious Global Vanguard Honour at the gala.
