Glen Powell gets into immense action as he plays in the deadliest game in the final trailer of The Running Man.
The final trailer for Edgar Wright’s upcoming thriller, adapted from Stephen King’s 1982 novel, introduces Glen Powell as Ben Richards, a desperate man forced to compete in a brutal game show where contestants, or “Runners,” must evade death at the hands of professional killers for a massive cash prize.
Set in a dystopian future, The Running Man is the nation’s most-watched TV show, a lethal spectacle where Runners must survive 30 days while being hunted by assassins, their every move televised for a bloodthirsty audience. Each day survived increases the potential prize money, but also the danger.
Driven by the need to save his ailing daughter, blue-collar worker Ben Richards (Powell, 36) reluctantly agrees to participate after being manipulated by the show’s charming yet ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Josh Brolin).
But as the deadly game unfolds, Ben’s resilience and defiance turn him into a people’s hero, and a direct threat to the system itself.
The Running Man hits theatres on November 14.
