Sabrina Carpenter wears Carrie Bradshaw in new ‘SNL’ promo

Sabrina Carpenter is stepping into Carrie Bradshaw’s heels in the latest Saturday Night Live promo ahead of her hosting debut this weekend.

In the clip, the Espresso hitmaker parodies Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic Sex and the City character, narrating her stroll through Studio 8H with Bradshaw-style musings.

Dressed in high heels and clutching a cosmopolitan, Carpenter interacts with cast members Sarah Sherman, Tommy Brennan and Marcello Hernández, dubbed Mr. Big, while a jazzy soundtrack plays in the background.

“The woman wondered what she’d gotten herself into,” Carpenter narrates as she types on a laptop, though, as Sherman jokes, “the computer’s not even on.”

The playful homage had Sex and the City fans buzzing online, with many calling it a “perfect crossover moment.”

Carpenter will pull double duty on the upcoming episode, serving as both host and musical guest.

The episode airs live on NBC this Saturday at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET.
