President-elect Joe Biden and the future first lady Dr. Jill Biden are all set to bring a cat to the White House along with their two dogs. Among many other reasons, this is the one delightful thing that the new president is already bringing the cats and dogs lovers together.

The Bidens will move in White House in January 2021 and this will be the first time in past four years that pets will be inside the White House again.

The news was confirmed by the CBS Sunday Morning as anchor Jane Pauley announced that they will be getting a cat along with their two German shepherds, Major and Champ.

"And now some breaking news. President-elect Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden won’t just be bringing their German shepherds, Major and Champ to the White House. The Bidens tell us exclusively that soon they’ll be joined by a cat." The clip from the show was posted on Twitter on Nov.28 and on Instagram as well.

Joe Biden adopted Major from the Delaware Humane Association in November 2018 and 10 years after the couple welcomed Champ. This will be also the first time in the history that a shelter dog will move into the White House.

Throughout the election campaign, Major and Champ were featured on Biden’s social media accounts and every time, people loved their posts.

Previously, former president Bill Clinton and his family had a cat, named Socks which was quite a popular pet of the White House. Before that, a black cat named India, who belonged to George W. Bush's family also lived in the White House.
