Unlike the other traditions and celebrations getting canceled or postponed in year 2020, it is good news that the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is happening on Thursday. However, the parade will not be the same as past years due to safety precautions of COVID-19.

This year’s annual parade will be live on TV, though it will a whole different experience for New Yorkers to watch the giant balloons, festive floats and performers on the television screens with comfort and safety at home.

This year’s parade will air on NBC on Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon Eastern.

The 94th annual Thanksgiving Day parade has not been canceled, but some radical changes are to continue for TV audience due to coronavirus pandemic. As per the New York Police Department (NYPD) guidelines, everyone participating in the parade has been tested for COVID-19 and before the event. Performers and participants will be socially distanced to prevent large crowds and will be required to wear masks.
